Recently, AWG Cares provided a grant request in the amount of $1,000 to the Southwest Missouri Humane Society in Springfield, MO. The grant request was submitted by Brenda Frealy, AWG Springfield Division employee.
The mission of the Southwest Missouri Humane Society is to aid in the alleviation of distress and suffering of animals by operating a shelter for animals in need of care, placing animals in suitable homes, and offering educational programs that promote animal welfare. This shelter is the largest no kill shelter in Southwest Missouri. Brenda volunteered at the shelter last fall during our AWG Cares Day of Service event. Being an avid dog lover, Brenda also couldn’t resist adopting a dog while she was there!
