A $40,000 contribution through DonorsChoose—including $10,000 earmarked for Argentine Middle School in Kansas City, KS—underscores the shared commitment of Mission Tiger and AWG to support youth athletics across the 33 states AWG serves.

WK Kellogg Co and Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes® Mission Tiger™ have once again joined forces with Associated Wholesale Grocers, Inc. (AWG) to make a meaningful impact on middle school sports. Together, they’ve donated $40,000 via DonorsChoose to help schools like Argentine Middle School in Kansas City, KS keep students active and engaged through athletics.

Since its launch in 2019, WK Kellogg Co and Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes Mission Tiger have been dedicated to expanding access to sports for middle schoolers nationwide. This latest collaboration with AWG brings that mission to life in Kansas City and beyond, helping schools invest in new gear, improve athletic facilities and provide fresh uniforms for their teams. The donation to Argentine Middle School will directly benefit its physical education and sports programs, giving students more opportunities to move, play and grow.

“We are thrilled to partner with AWG to bring the excitement of sports to the Kansas City community,” said Michael Browne, VP of Grocery at WK Kellogg Co. “At WK Kellogg Co, alongside our iconic mascot Tony the Tiger, we are on a mission to ensure that every child not only has the resources they need but also has the opportunity to play like a tiger. Because at the heart of it all, we believe every child deserves the chance to unlock their potential, be their best, and have fun doing it.”

Landon Godley, Chair of AWG Cares, AWG’s employee charitable foundation, added, “We’re proud to partner with WK Kellogg Co to help strengthen middle school sports programs in the communities where our support centers operate. Through AWG Cares, we remain committed to creating meaningful impact and collaborations with organizations that share our dedication to youth and community development, making that work even more powerful.”

Since its beginning, Mission Tiger has worked with DonorsChoose to create more than 2 million sports and play experiences for kids—providing equipment, renovating courts, upgrading facilities and more at more than 3,000 schools across the country.
