Recently, AWG Cares provided a grant in the amount of $3,000 to Love Thy Neighbor Dent County, a program offered by the Salem Area Community Betterment Association in Salem, MO. The grant request was submitted by Angela Young, AWG Springfield employee.
The mission of Love Thy Neighbor is missions in deed and in word. Love Thy Neighbor is organized by a community of churches with the goal of meeting the needs of the community by helping homeowners stay in the home they love when they cannot make or pay for repairs themselves. This includes elderly, veterans, disabled, or financially challenged homeowners. All work projects are done outside of the home and can include: decks, roofing, painting, and yard work, all of which are completed at no charge to the homeowner. Love Thy Neighbor is committed to building a community where all homes are safe and healthy.
