Wayne, NE
Recently, AWG Cares provided a grant in the amount of $3,000 to Haven House in Wayne, NE. The grant request was submitted by Cynthia Puntney, AWG Nebraska Division Support Center employee.
Haven House is dedicated to the elimination of violence against survivors through empowerment, education, social action, and support services. Haven House was formed in 1978 in Wayne, NE. They currently have offices in Wayne, NE, South Sioux City, NE, Hartington, NE, and Pender, NE. They offer emergency shelter, food, clothing, and basic needs for victims of domestic violence or sexual assault and their children at any time it is needed. Community education and prevention were emphasized from the beginning of Haven House and continue to be important today.
