Slidell, LA
Recently, AWG Cares provided a grant in the amount of $3,000 to Our Friends Closet in Slidell, LA. The grant request was submitted by Hillary Senez, AWG Gulf Coast Division Support Center employee.
Each day, hundreds of students classified as homeless head to classrooms throughout our nation. They might be kids in shelters, sleeping in motels, or staying at someone else’s house. Many more cannot afford the things other students take for granted; personal hygiene products- deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap and so much more! Our Friends Closet collects these items to provide basic needs to students in our community.
