Slidell, LA
Recently, AWG Cares provided a grant request in the amount of $2,500 to Our Friends Closet in Slidell, LA. The grant request was submitted by Jennifer Rabalais, AWG Gulf Coast Division employee.
Each day, hundreds of students classified as homeless head to classrooms throughout our nation. They might be kids in shelters, sleeping in motels, or staying at someone else’s house. Many more cannot afford the things other students take for granted, including personal hygiene products- deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, etc. Our Friends Closet collects these items to provide basic needs to students in the community.
