Recently, AWG Cares provided a grant request in the amount of $3,000 to On Angels Wings (OAW) in Springfield, MO. The grant request was submitted by Angela Young, AWG Springfield Division employee.
OAW’s mission is to improve the mental health and wellness of families with medically fragile children, regardless of race, ethnicity, class status or orientation, through therapeutic photography and grief recovery services. Their Therapeutic Photography Program has volunteers who are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, to provide sessions for prenatal diagnosis, children battling ongoing conditions, NICU milestones, and birth loss. These sessions provide families with professional photos that can be taken in any care setting. OAW also offers access to their comprehensive Grief Recovery Program, which addresses the critical mental and emotional health needs of these families.
