Covington, LA
Recently, AWG Cares provided a grant in the amount of $3,000 to James Samaritan in Covington, LA. The grant request was submitted by Jennifer Sullivan, AWG Gulf Coast Division Support Center employee.
James Samaritan connects the community and church to create healthy support systems for kids and families in the foster care system. They engage the community, create positive connections, and empower all those involved in foster care to reduce the need for governmental intervention. Community partnership is crucial so that James Samaritan can meet the critical needs of the foster care and transitional youth, right where they are, all while creating a culture where the most invisible and vulnerable are better supported and empowered.
A James Samaritan:
Gives to meet the financial needs of our foster care community…
Mentors children and young adults in care who need positive relationships…
Prays for the children and youth, foster families, biological parents, and case workers…
Supports those on the front lines of foster care with encouragement and aid…
Promotes the mission of reaching kids in hard places and helping them find hope.
Thank you, Jennifer, for donating to AWG Cares and submitting this grant request!
