Faith’s Lodge Receives AWG Cares Award Grant

Recently, AWG Cares provided a grant in the amount of $3,000 to Faith’s Lodge in Plymouth, MN. The grant request was submitted by Nick Levang, AWG Upper Midwest Division Support Center employee.

The tranquil setting of Faith’s Lodge provides a peaceful escape for families coping with the death of a child to refresh their minds and spirits while spending time with others who understand their experiences. Their long weekend retreats combine professional grief counseling, therapeutic experiences, and group activities that help families heal. As the first dedicated retreat facility of its kind, their goal is to connect families and give them tools for coping with grief and its challenges in a healthy way.

Faith’s Lodge provides two programs to aid parents who have suffered the death of a child. Hope Works Here is an employer-sponsored benefit designed to ease the transition back to work. The lodge, located in the Northwoods of Wisconsin, is where the organization holds retreats year-round to support grieving parents and families to find solace and healing along their journey. Through this generous donation, Faith’s Lodge can continue to support families grieving the death of a child.
