Slidell, LA
Recently, AWG Cares provided a grant in the amount of $3,000 to Community Christian Concern in Slidell, LA. The grant request was submitted by Sherry Bunch, AWG Gulf Coast Division Support Center employee.
Community Christian Concern is a centralized assistance agency located in East St. Tammany Parish that provides basic necessities to individuals and families in crisis. They also operate the only housing program for homeless men in St. Tammany Parish and as well as a thrift store named Janet’s Korner and a food pantry.
Community Christian Concern has built a ministry through compassion, love and most importantly, our relationship with God to build our community members back up when they have lost their way. We believe that each person has a sacred value and worth and that by walking alongside them in their time of need, we can build a bridge of hope.
AWG Cares also volunteered with CCC for their annual Wild Game Cook Off for the AWG Cares annual day of service on Saturday, September 28, 2024.
