Slidell, LA
Recently, AWG Cares provided a grant request in the amount of $3,000 to Community Christian Concern in Slidell, LA. The grant request was submitted by Sherry Bunch, AWG Gulf Coast Division employee.
Community Christian Concern is a centralized assistance agency located in East St. Tammany Parish that provides basic necessities to individuals and families in crisis. They also operate the only housing program for homeless men in St. Tammany Parish and as well as a thrift store named Janet’s Korner and a food pantry. They have built a ministry through compassion, love and most importantly, their relationship with God to build their community members back up when they have lost their way. They believe that each person has a sacred value and worth and that by walking alongside them in their time of need, we can build a bridge of hope.
